    a/c compressor clutch

    Hey all

I tried looking all over the forum but i couldnt find anything. I have a new a/c compressor that is not installed. My only problem with my old a/c compressor is the a/c clutch. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to switch the clutch alone so i dont have to recharge my a/c. My a/c works fine and cold its just the clutch is bad now. Any info would be cool.

    Thanks,
    Carlo

the clutch is held in place by one nut, but its a bit hard to take it off with regular tools. you will need to hold the plate in place(or have someone else do it for you) while you use a power tool to crack open the nut. after you take it off, be careful not to loose any shims or other parts from the back of it, and make sure they go back on in the same order. thats pretty much it.
