Don't have a C36, but I can say that my C230K does not have the annoying ticking noise, even when cold. I made a video of it and will upload soon. What oil do you use?

That's odd, when I switched to )w40, the ticking stopped. I did run seafoam in the crank before, so that may have done it as well.
