    Headlight Question...

hey guys.....i upgraded my headlight assembly's a few years ago with a ebay set on my 1995 c280 which i now gave to my brother. they have the euro style headlights (6 pin connector). the low beam is a h1, the high beam is a h1, the fog is a h3 and then there is the 194 city light. i cannot find these anywhere on ebay anymore. he damaged the driver's headlight so i need either that one or a new set.

it has to have a h1 provision as well because i put in HID's.

    anyone have any web links????????

    please help.
    Jason

You might be able to score a set from our European Members or ebayUK or Germany.

Not sure I understand the question. Can you explain to me the difference as opposed to LHD?

As far as I know the only difference is in the lenses, the beam pattern is essentially the reverse of the LHD versions.

    apparently they are built differently.

LHD are for steering wheels that are on the LEFT HAND SIDE of car and built for driving on the RIGHT HAND SIDE of the road.

RHD are for steering wheels that are on the RIGHT HAND SIDE of car and built for driving on the LEFT AHDN SIDE of the road.

if you lived in the states and got RHD headlights, they would face the oncoming traffic, which makes it unsafe for drivers and therefor illegal.

we require RHD headlights and about 10% of the world require RHD, that's why it's difficult to find sellers whom sell them. there is one guy who sells to australia who also require RHD headlights. but he sells them for roughly 700USD. and all the LHD sellers sell them for 160USD... so you can see why I am looking elsewhere lol....

there are few different types that I like which are similar but I'm looking for the one ticked in green. there are 2 there that look real similar, they are different, one is sort of dark housing and the other is quite crystal clear, no black in it.

Gotcha. That's kind of what I thought. Never played with my light patterns much, so I figured they would be adjustable from either side, L/R.

yea its going to be close to impossible to find one here in US. your best bet is to find a member on mbclub.co.uk to get you a pair from a 2nd hand car.

yeah I've tried the UK ebay and there are none

just the ones I don't like, I would've settled for them, if they were the clear crystals, but it's the slighty darker housing of the 2 types.

in germany they require LHD. thanks though.

these guys said they have RHD and I just needed to request it when purchasing:
    http://depoautolights.com/index.php

    these are them:

I'm pretty sure someone said depoautolights somewhere, but I emailed them so long ago they hadn't replied and I forgot about them hehe.

hoping for the best when they arrive lol
