    Wheel Fitment Issues?!

So I managed to grab a set of lorinser D93 wheels for my 2000 C230, but I'm wondering if they will comfortably fit my car, can anyone shed some light on my situation??

They are 17x8 et 44 wheels (I believe)
    Tires are 245/45/17
And the set came with Lorinser 7mm spacers and huncentric rings

Please let me know if these will fit, thanks club202!

There are people whom know better than I, but I believe they should fit just fine with the spacers.

The thing is.. I'm lowered on bilstein sports and eibach springs, and I heard the 202 has issues with running front tire sizes more than 225, is there any truth to that?

i was running 225/40/17 and im not that low... just enough to close the fender gap... im currently on 215/40/18 on a 8.5 width rim up front... anticipating to go lower by the weekend... yes i have a mild stretch on it right now... just bought a 3rd set of rims not too far back that im gonna put in after i refinish them which is 18X8.5 all around...

how low are you? can you post some pics? im from fremont area if you're going to the big stoneridge meet this friday ill be there..

i ran a 17x7.5 rim with a 225/40/17 on it when i was SLAMMMED i left it at stock offset +35ET up front. and i had slight rubbing issues. I would worry more about the tire hitting the strut on down travel. But if you are just on lowering springs it should clear fine without any issues. there is no need to go with a stretch tire or lower profile than factory which recommended 225/45/17 up front on our cars. for those wheels.

Actually if you look in the members gallery I posted the thread "tastefully modded c230" and you can judge my stance from there, which is amazing given that before I could double fist my wheel gap. and YES I will be going to the stoneridge meet I'm pretty stoked to see how it is but im coming with a slammed e36 m3 and a slammed b7 a4.

So the consensus seems to be.. even with 245/45/17 up front (I know they will clear in the rear) I should be fine running these tires even though reccomended is 225/45/17?

i think 245s are too wide for the front especially if ur lowered. i would prbly do 215s in the front and leave the 245s on the rear.

    Factory recommended:
    Front: 225/45/17
    Rear: 245/40/17

That offset should work with the provided spacers.

    Final result:
    225/45/17 front
    245/45/17 rear

I can fit about a finger in the front gap, the rear is perfectly tucked though. How much work is required to change the spring pads??

you need to remove the spring to change the shim pad.

I used to run a 245/40/18 on the front of my w202 with 285/35/18 on the rear (w210 E55 amg monoblocks)
and I'm going to guess that you will want to run some wider spacers on the rear at some point to fill up the wheel well!
