    exterior chrome handle covers

    hi, im wanting to get these (link below) stainless steel handle covers for my 99 w202. instead of painting the actual handles, im wanting to get these, paint them to the body colour and stick them on using 3m tape.

    will these effect the central locking functionality at all?

    anybody? i just want to know if covering the small sensors on the front handles will affect the central locking of the car?
