    Question about removing rear springs

Hey gents so I have a set of H&R springs and bilstein shocks. When removing the rear springs and installing the new ones do I have to remove the rear lower control arms to lower the spring out??? I have heard yes for easy removal of spring but then heard no cuz you can just compress enough to pull them out without removing any extra parts. i know Vixen_202 you did a DIY install on your H&R sport Cup Kit. What did you do in your situation?? I drive a 1998 C230 Elegance. Any tips and tricks will be helpful to me. Thanks guys. Cheers!

I would rather not have to take off the lower control arms because my bolts look seized and apparently you cant just get the bolt you'd have to replace the whole control arm.
