    W203 rear suspension

Any ideas whether a w203 rear suspension will work on a w202?

Hmmm.. good question Naushad! I must say they do look similar, so its hard to say. the arms could be different lengths, springs could be different lengths as well.

what are you looking at swapping?

    Hey there Ross.
Considering the C32 or C55 swap with rear suspension and diff and prop.

All of the rear suspension componant links appear to cross fit the W202. The rear lower control arms are the same, basically the same overall 5-link suspension. With that said, I can see pictures on ebay of rear suspension subframes of both w202 and w203 and the frame is a little different in shape- however, this could have been changed simply because of the known weakness of the w202 rear subframe subjecting to cracking under higher lateral strains. The mount patterns look very simular, but without haveing the two in front of me I can not measure to confirm this- my guess would be yes they will fit- at the very least I would think all of the parts (diff, arms, links, brakes) would unbolt out of the w203 subframe and then bolt into the w202 subframe.

I can see the rear suspension being very similar or the same. but the diff mount on that c32 or c55 has got to be different.
I also think the subframes will be different as I'm sure the c32/55 are wider than a w202. but that can be fixed easily with custom diff mount. I think it will be just the back 2 bolts in the diff cover that will be different than a stock w202 mount. another thing to consider is the w203 diff might be larger in size than a w202. question is, is it different size than a c43?
