    led conversion for 00 c230

hi I finnaly did this conversion to led
firstly I know of 2 different dash clusters being used in our cars one has t10 and t5 bulbs whilist the other only uses t5 bulbs
I cannot say for the dash that uses t10/t5 bulb combo
BUT the dash that uses strictly t5 bulbs I can say it needs around 27-30 t5 bulbs to do a complete swap-over
(or about 10 if you just want to do the gauges and needles (low fuel light and eps off light)
I mean who wants a blinding asr srs/ check engn light .... lol
I did mine so most of the warning lights stayed the dimmer normal bulb

any who the 2 bulbs behind the ac heater control t5 will fit behind them aswell (just don't break the flap or the light will be bright behind it more than everywhere else)

my cluster ignore my spedo spedo spedo ... lol you know what there for :P

I bought jtec bulbs that are brighter than the ones that I bought that have the caps you need
I will supply you with the item numbers I got from amazon

the black ones are all that really needed for a cheaper conversion its all I did warning lights don't need to be that bright

the original bulbs are sodered into the twist caps on my car and id assume yours too
my original bulbs were brittle so be carefull when removing them
you can see a video from fupa ? I want to say he has one on how to remove the cluster (very simple prosses )
(1 remove tweeter on drivers side carefully with flathead
2 remove blower vent 2 retainers on bottom that need pulled up slightly (hardest part)
3 gently take hand and push cluster out GENTLY AND EVENLY
    4 remove wire clips )
the black caps are needed for the leds they are a little harder to insert and turn but they do fit
