hi guys

i know u all have seen this question 10 thousand times, and the answer is always sell it and buy a car with the engine u want, well, my case is i do not want to sell my car, a. since its been in the family since brand new and b. its a manual which is a rare find these days.

i m considering putting in a 230 kompressor engine and keeping the manual transmission, cos i would like to keep it as a daily car and maintain its drivibility, and i would like everything to be as original as possibe.

my car is a pre-facelift 95 c180 and i manage to find a donor vehicle 97 clk 230k auto, mechanically i know everything will bolt up, but electronically, i m not quite sure, so i would like to ask the experts here whether this is feasible idea? or its just day dreaming?

for a 97 clk does the ignition key and dash board need to be transferred (so i m assuming wiring loom as well?)

any particular points i need to be beware before i jump down the slippery slope?

any feedbak is much appreciated, cheers!
