    noise

    i recently bought a used 99 c230k and i hear a clicking sound coming from my car everytime i hit about 2k rpms... is this regular? has anyone else had this problem?

    Check to see if you have anyhting stuck in one of your tires. Could be a nail or rock or something like that. Can you locate where the sound is coming from?

    try localize the problem, like where is it coming from, at neutral gear or at D or at reverse?

    it sounds like its coming from the engine bay....when its in park and i rev it...it gives a slight click and jolt right at 2k rpms

    long shot.... if it comes from the TPS..then its the metal layer on the TPS sensor thining out -- but you should feel the slow respond at certain rpm ranges. ... a longer shot... Kompressor clutch?

    Try the heat shield. I had a problem with the heat shield on my 99 230K. It was loose and it resonated at low RPMs when it was in park. When driving, it resonated only when I let off the gas pedal in every single gear. It almost sounded like a loose screw rattling inside the engine (if that makes any sense). The heat shield screws were replaced and tightened up and the sound dissappeared. This was done under warranty, but on the statement, the charge was only like $30.
