How they work? Please where does cables are connected from?

Not sure, but do you have also installed light in front armrest?

Looks like your talking about the puddle lights under the front doors. Do you know if your model year already have the wires in place?

just make a hole under the seat and wire the lights with your puddle lights or with your interior lights...

I think the light is not over 3 euros at MBstealership....

Or maybe Steve have wired them directly to a "+", and add a switch between the 2 others one for the rear heated seats...

steves light stay on all the time with ignition, same as E class, and they are dim lighted - again same as E class.

These lights are LEDs as are to be found in the W210 E-class...the lights are connected at the front of the seats (OEM) and from there they go into the wiring of the car...

the door-puddle lights are too big for the back of the seats...

I also have the wiring in my armrest for a light in there as well...didn't have the time yet to actually custom make a light in there though...

    greetingz,
    :lick: :lick: :lick:

please where does the armrest light wiring is connected to? Do you have also a dedicated contact ( as per trunk, glovebox,..) to provide illumination only when armrest cover is lifted? I'm looking for this stupid contact, without success!

I was quite sure that the door-puddle light are too big for the seats, but I didn't know about LED light!

    greetingz,
Please Steve I'll appreciate a lot if you are so kind to provide part number of that W210 LED's light. Obviously we have not a standard (OEM) connection in the seats. Where do you have provide passage and contacts? My idea is to connect them to external position light.

thanks a lot for any input

The W210 light comes with a socket that fits in the connectorholder at the front of your seat and goes per counterconnector into the car's cable ducts...connected to the proper ground stud under the seat and whatever positive lead you want (external lights...glovebox light...ignition)

I've appreciated a lot your reply Steve. This connectorholder on front of the W210 seat seems to be very useful!

But unfortunately we don't have them. But in any case this LED lights seems to be very usefull (THIN in particular) for any internal application, and I belive that, socket a part, there is a simple couple of cable to connect whatever you want. Please where do you have connected yours (may be you have also installed the W210 socket!)?

What's the part number? If i buy it and split the cables, I think I'll be able to connect whatever I want.

I'm planning to install that led lights for rear and front foot area (connected to external lights)

Please Steve be so kind to confirm me, I'll appreciate a lot.

    Marco

the light itself must be A 210 820 38 01 and you do have the bracket under the seat (at the front) to hold connectors...every single US spec cars has that...

Thanks a lot Steve. I'll buy two of them to installa as you did in the rear foot area, and then, after that if possible I'll install other two in front foot area.

...hoping that they do not cost a lot!

    thanks again

Just went from stealership, I've ordered two led lights, it's not cheap: about 13 Euro each one. It seems (from stupid drawing on their computer) that it came without any cable, only the lamp.

I'm really sorry, but I don't have any camera, I'll try if possible to look to some friend in case.

But in any case, have you checked the photo of that one installed in Steve's car? As in my previous post of present tread.
