    HID installs

Hi, has anybody ever tried this HID kit out? If so. any opinions on what it's like, if it's worth the money?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

    Also,
How do you install an HID kit on a pre 96 w202, or any HID kit on w202's? Thanks

If you buy an aftermarket hid kit for your halogen headlights, it WILL work. But be prepared to have a funky beam pattern. Also when you install it, i have a "light bulb out" icon when i turn on my hid headlights. I know there's a way to eliminate this icon, but i am unsure on how to do it. Nokia has explained what to do, but have no idea on what im supposed to do.

Just curious. Where did you mount the ballasts?
I'm thinking about getting the H7 HID kit from Ebay. ~$300.
Also, the reason for the light Bulb out failure is probably
due to the relays that comes with the kit. Any hid kit using relays
will give you that problem since the ballasts does not draw any
    current thru the switch.

I just ordered the same kit too (McCulloch 6K). Hopefully, we don't have to deal with the bulb out failure warning indicator...

Haven't installed my HID kit yet.. Wonder if there'll be a bulb
    out indicator warning.

Djdoughboy, Do you think I can put a resistor in parallel to ballast input to fool the bulb check circuitry?

Installed the Mcculloch 6K kit already. No Bulb Out failure indicator since the input to ballast has ~10K ohms (enough to fool the sensor).
Light is gorgeous (White w/tiny bit of Purple/Blue). Beam pattern
really sucks though!! Should have save up some money for OEM
    :-(
