    ARP head studs

I found after lots of research that the BMW e30 m20 ARP head stud kit will work with the m104 engine (2.8,3.2,3.6) which is a great upgrade due to notorious HG failure , this will provide superior clamping force and added insurance when doing your next HG job. I will be ordering my kit shortly
I had the part # but cannot find it right now
Just thought I would share that with you (m104) guys.

    Nice, thanks for posting.

I will be using ARP studs when I do have to replace my head gasket on my C36. It only makes sense, especially since the stock head bolts are torque to yield and must be replaced every time you remove the head.

Nice find!,check with ARP before you use though don't want to over clamp it you might do more bad than good!.

For the M111 according to the mercedes WIS stock bolts don't need replacement unless they stretch over the limit, the first time I replaced mine without knowing, then reused them the next 2 times i rebuilt. they stretched nowhere near the limit.

Any news on this working out? I've read various different posts on forums but none have a conclusive answer of these studs working. I'd like to invest in these when the time comes. VAC is actually very close to me so I can just go pick them up when I do my HG

On peach parts.com a member said arp recommended the BMW M30 head studs. But yet again no definate confirmation
