It actually decreases the value because those are modifications that you wanted, your personal taste does not add value. sorry to burst your bubble, I dont know who misinformed you but its sort of a known fact that if you mod, Your decreasing the cars market value, Not increasing it. You didnt build a show car or anything that would spike a collector/ enthusiasts interest. which in turn would warrant them shelling out double what the car is actually worth on the open market.
