    Lightbulb 280 Technical Information

Can anyone please help me to find the following information on the 280 6 cylinder engine?

    - Bore size
    - Piston pin diameter
    - gudgeon pin height

I am interested in using the pistons out of one for another turbocharged engine, & heard that one of the 280 6 cylinder engines had a bore of 86mm & used forged pistions.

Can anyone provide any answers on this, or point me in the right direction.
    Cheers,

    C280:

    Motor designation M104.941

    89.90 x 73.50 B/S
    1.22:1 B/S ratio
    10:1 Compression
    1.5 x 1.75 x 3.0 Rings

I can't find my notes on the deck height and Pin diameter. I remember it is close to a 0.875" wrist pin.

    Thanks for that info MRP.

From what I have heard they possibly have a pin diameter of:

22mm (0.866139") - which is close to what you have said

    And a pin height of:
    35mm (1.3779486")

I was also wanting to know, if they are forged pistons or not? I have heard that these are forged & very strong pistons.

Can you confirm if any of this is correct?
    Many thanks,
