    On board service interval countdown

Has anybody any ideas on how to reset on board computer to enable home changing of oil etc. I am guessing that some software is reqired to set up a noteblook, to plug into the car management system?

On a 202 it's very simple. Make sure the driver's door is closed and the key is off, then turn key to position 2(that's the run position, not the start position, don't run the engine). Press the '0' button on the lower left side of the cluster twice quickly like you're double-clicking a mouse. This will bring up the distance or time remaining. Turn the key off, press the '0' button again and hold it down while turning the key back to position 2 and keep holding the button for approx 10 seconds. The mileage will reset and you're good to go. If it doesn't work the first time try it again. If your timing isn't perfect it won't work, it's a little quirky sometimes.

What years of the 202 came with this feature?

All cars with FSS, starting in '98 in most all MB vehicles. It came with the introduction of the M112, M113 V-6 and V-8 engines.
