97-00 headlights on 95?

hey, buying a set of 97-00 headlights for my 95 c-class, will they fit? plug in same? i just broke one light so found a set one ebay

the plugs are different, as well as the number of bulbs. the older one have one(h4) driving light, and the newer ones have two(h1 and h7).

oh. damn. thought they'd plug in straight. i guess i might have to find connectors in a junkyard then.

they should bolt up right tho?

they will bolt on w/o a problem, but its should be easy rewiring the connectors to fit yours.

hey, cool. thankx. i'm gonna go cut some connectors at the junk yard nextweek. one quick question

i noticed from differently pics from ebay, maybe i saw it wrong
the 94-96 HL's have 4 pin connectors
but the 97-00 have 6 pin connectors (or so i saw in pics)

so i assume 1 pics for low beam, 1 for highbeam, 1 for foglight, 1 for ground, whats the other 2 for?

sorry, cant help you much on this one, I dont have a 202 ne more to take a look at it, BUT from what I remember, I guess the four connectors on the 94-96 connectors are:
two for the H4 bulb(hi and lo beam)
one for the H3 bulb(fog light)
one common ground

the newer headlights have three bulbs in the assembly, thus more pins at the connector. so to rewire it, here is my suggestion:
since the h7 bulb is being used for the lo beam and H1 for the hi beam, split the wires from the H4 bulb to H7 and H1 bulbs.
