    Odometer Light Out

So my odometer light is out. Actually I think it is the backlight because if you look real close you can still see the odometer is still clicking the miles away.

Any ideas? Could it be a fuse (I haven't found any bad ones)? It just all the sudden didn't work one start, never flickered or faded out. This is the only light that doesn't work in the dash, all others work fine.

    Thanks for any help.

How difficult are they to get to?

Can I do this myself (how) or should I just take it to the dealer?

dont take it to the dealer, even i could do it (and did it) what i did was i took of the steering wheel (cause i coudltn get the cluster out without taking my steering wheel of maybe u r different) i did this by unscrewing the screws on the left and right side from the back, then i disconnected the cables, then i went to removing my cluster, once the cluster is out, i did a check on the lights (using a battery i had laying around) and i replaced them...the lights are very obvious to find, u c them on the back of the cluster a white nob, were u turn left or right and u take the light out, very obvious..i did this a couple of months back i hope i got the details right....if not let me now

    enjoy

Kinda off topic, but something to do with cluster....

Is there anyway to change the color of the lights? I don't really like the orange light. Is it a bulb that makes it that color or face plate thingy or do i have to get a new cluster?

yea its a good site i beleive it belongs to "boominbenz" from this site i think
Um nah it was the bulb that made the color in my car as when i put the little green condom things on my dash lights went green like they shud.
Take you dash out and take the bulbs in to the shop as theres 2 sizes you will need, dont take the benz with no dash tho.
hold the cluster up to the sun and look at it to make sure you change the right bulbs, from memory theirs like 3 big ones and a few little ones (bulbs)

Um im not sure were "you" can get these from cos i dont know shops you have, i got myne from repco, its just a generic discount car parts shop, i get my oil + filters their, you will no a place like that near you
    good luck!
