    Arm Rest Cover Lid

one of my clips on the center armrest is broken so it won't remain shut...I believe I have to buy an entire lid piece and cannot just replace the clip, anyone have it for a 98 c230 with beige interior? Thanks guys!

what piece is broken?.. the latch at the front of the armrest.. to open it up?
    this part?.....

The part number for that latch is 202 683 00 84 (there is also another part number printed below it.. 202 680 11 84.. hopefully one of them is the right one.. plus you will need to add the colour code of your interior to the end of that).
or if you do need the entire armrest lid (with the leather on it) the part number is 202 680 06 78 and you will have to add the colour code for the interior to the end of that as well.

Hey.. I have some problem with my latch thing too. Sometimes when I want to open the lower compartment, it would get stuck and it would open the upper compartment. I hate it when that happens. How much does that part cost? Easy DIY?

for that.. try pulling the armrest cover towards the back of the vehicle.. straight back.. the lid is too far forward and is slightly jamming on the latch..
this shoudl fix it.. but also when you open the compartment.. you need to kind pull the lid back slightly too.. this helps with that.. mine does that also.

are you sure its the latch? because sometimes it could be that you have too much stuff in the upper compartment. But that could be just me though.

My upper compartment is the car phone. It wasn't like that when I got my car. It started to act up this few years.

i see, then it probably has to do with the latch. For me I either have to take stuff out or use a dime or something to open the lower compartment.
