    cleaning all vents

where should I begin on cleaning out the vents? When I turn the AC or heat on ... it 1st start out with some wet towel smell or whatever. I am sure there are things like nuts, leaves ..etc. that are stucked somewhere along the venting system. Where should I being? Thanks

Good question. I would pop out my vents and go to a carwash and use those high-suction vaccums, unless you had access to one.

replaced mine a few months ago. i got no idea if the previous owners had replaced this ever at all. it's so crusted that the filter got stuck in there. when it came out, the whole thing's filled with garbage in almost all the crevices. so yeah, if u smell leaves and such, change that and u should feel much better.

i compared prices from a couple online dealers and found that importec sells them for the cheapest. so here:
    www.importec.com

i used the one with charcoal. though i heard that the charcoal function goes away within a short time, i feel good having them in my air system.

be fully aware that this is probably going to be nasty. if u don't want to go through the trouble of vacuuming your carpet, put something there to catch the junk.
