exhaust opinions ?

Ive searched this and couldnt get what I wanted to know ...

I found a deal on an Eisenmann exhaust ... $150 installed.

1. good deal or bad?
2. Eisenmann = good sound, alright or just plain loud ?

does anybody have a video of what an eisenmann sounds like ? streetfire or any other online uploading ? Thanks . :)

well, i've never heard it on a 202. but, i've heard the race version on an E55 and on a M3. It is on the louder side, but, I liked it. My friend got tired of it (too loud) and took it off. Here's a link of it on a E55 for example:

Im gonna ask this guy if hes talking about the tippy-tip or the box itself. yea its hard to beleive but ill give it a try.

aintME - thats for that link very helpful! It sounds like a muscle car on that E55, and being a race exhaust, I expect it to sound a little less throaty being used with the M111.

on that clip he has no post cats, no resonator and EVO heads also, your car wont be anywhere near that loud or throaty

what do you guys think about Flowmaster or Magnaflow ? are they ok and cheap or just cheap and ricey ?

I love magnaflow.. looks greta and sounds great.. I have one on my car.. custom cat back , no resonators.. magnalflow muffler.
before I made the intake for my car it was a nice deep tone.. very nice. but since I did my intake all I an hear pretty much is my supercharger whine!!.. but at higher speeds I can hear my exhaust.. its very loud when on the highway.. and can get annoying after long drives. just the deep sound resonating in the car.
but I still love it..

eisenman's going to sound A LOT different with half the cylanders.

I had a magnaflow on my 1.5L toyota and it sounded like shit. I've never heard anything good about flowmaster.

150 is a retarded good price if it's the box. hell, just get it and resell it if you don't like the sound.

id be lucky to just GET it. but I dont know about this tweek, he said hes selling Eisenmann exhaust. thats all, its for $100 plus about $50 to weld it on.

SlammedC - so you have a magnaflow, deleted res. mind posting a pic or two ? and is it to much to ask if you can maybe upload a video ? like a short clip ? how much did it cost you to delete the res. and add Magflow exhaust ?

yip.. custom cat back exhaust. deleted resonator, magnaflow muffler.

OK, OT to the thread subject, but... I knew it would be the case, but it's neat to see first hand how cylinder size affects exhaust note. I definitely liked the sound of the stock C43 exhaust with the 4.3L engine more then with the 5.4L engine as an example. A higher frequency wailing scream from the 4.3L.

I had the Eisenmann exhaust back in the day when I had my turbo'd C220. When the turbo kit was installed, the exhaust sounded perfect because the turbo helped muffle some of the sound. With the turbo removed, it was too loud for my blood. I was embarassed sometimes in that it was loud as hell without the turbo but slow as a slug. I felt it was a big bark for a little dog.

Remus and Sebring are the same, Sebring makes remus mufflers

I think the sebring mufflers look nicer then the remus ones.. Ive heard a remus exhaust (on a W203 2.3L c-coupe).. very very very quiet.. its more for looks then sound.. if thats what you want.
the eisenmann one is sweet.. but as under pressure said. very loud!!.. I dont know if the regular sport models are loud.. but the race exhaust is fukin loud!
