Average boost pressure and how to increase

Ok, i just installed a boost/vac gauge so now im curious. So far, i have seen 5-6 psi of boost. I was wondering what other ppl have seen as far as average boost. Also how can i increase boost presure with minimal cash. I have been looking for a pully but dont realy know where to grab one. And for anyone who knows, how much of a bitch was it to put in.

stock boost pressure is 5.5psi.
I got my boost gauge after i did my pulley kit.. so i dont know what i had stock.
maybe check out dynospot or asp.. they arent that expensive from what ive heard.

they arent that difficult to install, but you must make sure the crank pulley bolt is torqued properly.

dynospot wanted around like 1050 or something for the pulley kit and the chip, i cant remeber exactly what he said the gains where in HP, but i think he said the pulley kit alone is like 700 something, but he also said, that if you get the pulley kit, you might as well get the chip as well to get optimal performance. hope that helps..
