My 6-disc and radio did not work when I bought the car and I was considering replacing the entire system. A little persistent checking on the forums and some investigative tinkering have gone a long way and I'm proud to say that everything on the stock stereo works now.
This may help you and it may not. It's so easy to do I don't see why posting pictures would help. The point being, I hope it works for you.
1. Take out the magazine and unplug and remove the unit.
2. Remove the top cover of the 6-disc.
3. Remove the main component cover.
4. With the player facing you, feel around the bottom of the main CD player component for a gear.
5. Advance the gear as best you can. It only goes in one direction. It should advance the grabber/player mover to the bottom of the unit. Make sure you move it as far as you can.
6. Reassemble, replace and power the unit.
Good luck
