I have access to new 98-00 w202 fog lights, but as I remember, the openings on stock c280 bumbers where fog light would go are actually brake ventillation ducts and should not be covered. Is this correct?

yea thats what I heard, but if you pay attention - most cars dont have air ducts for brakes.

I think it would matter if your racing and at speeds over 100 but normal driving and freeway - I think it wont play a role. imo.

Definitely not racing in that old car, but it can parallel park at 60mph. The lights would free (except installation - long story) The lights themselves seem relatively easy to install, but how about wiring & switches - can these be hooked up to the stock light switch - or do they require some home-made rig??

Long way - well you can ground them then run a + wire to the dash (through a switch) then under your seats panals ect. all the way in the trunk and use a fuse . that way you have full control of when you want to have them ON.

another quick way - Im not sure if its ok to do this but I know it works, you spice the - & + wires from your corner lights and everytime you turn the corner lights ON the fogs will go ON.
