any special tools needed to replace the rear brakes on my 98 c230?

Can't say for sure on the 98. Nothing special on a 94.

Shouldn't. I have a 2000 c230k and i didnt need anything cept for teh normal tools and a C-clamp to colapse the caliper, but thats about it.

i want to say there was a 4mm allen wrench needed to remove the rotor if you're doing a complete overhaul. don't quote me on that though ;)

the rears did not, only the front for me, and i was able to re-use them.
