I think you would have to swap the ECU's as well.

u think thats all it would need they say it dosent come with it and these items "sold w/o alternator, a/c comp., starter, ecu, etc…"

id think the alternator would work and outher parts from my c220.

but i think i could easily get my hands on the ecu because theer is a mercedes wrecking yard like 30 minutes away from where i live.

there's a few other things you may need like IC,piping, bypass etc...make sure you get the MAS and intake box, also the loom and ecu,you may need the exhaust manifold and if so hopfully it mates up with your exhaust, the plastic Viscous fan shroud is different i think...

Pauls right, id just get the entire front clip and get everything I need .

Yip...if you have to go that way a nose clip is ideal!...
have you researched what a 230K is worth locally?...you may find it a whole heap easier and possibly cheaper to sell yours for the real deal;)

I was wondering the same. I want to get a different engine in my c220. wondering what other kinds of engines can fit.
Hey Nightferret, where are you from. My location is OHio

does an 03' S500 engine fit ?? theres a chance I may be getting one of those that needs a rebuild, imagine - Ported polished balanced shot-peened coated pistons, the whole 9 yards.

there is a lot of electronics and crap to have to worry about with that...I don't know if you want to undertake something like that

no, go to youtube.com and search for Kimbo and you can see some of his fights, anyone can fight him they have to put money on the table though, its London prize fighting rules, bare fists no submissions.

ya it would just be cheaper to get a c230 kompressor i think its just time to get rid of the c220.

but what about this -

getting an M45 mounted + C230K ECU + all custom piping and IC and instead of that valve thing have a BOV ?

it would be like adding a blower and not having to add the fans and crap. sounds simple ? not so expensive either if you do the work yourself/know where to get the parts. aprox. $1500??

might run into a few problems there...as the 230K ECU may have different ignition timing which may not suit the N/A engines cam profiles/timing etc...however i could be wrong and have known to be plenty of times...;)

sorry man not sure!,you will need to contact some tuners and qoute the Bosch ECU number and see what they can do for you!...
local tuners here could do alot of the bosch stuff..but not mine for some reason!...so iv purchased a M400 motec system which will need a full re-wire of the engine again...but should get me where im going
