Hey,
i dont think iv come accross headers for the C280 before...
is it the V6 or the I6?
he could always get the mosselman kit if he has the I6...that should kill the N/A noise!:)

another option is a custom header!

Hmmm maybe if he wants to change how it sounds he should look into different exhaust/intake's?

I checked SS website...looks like they only supply exhaust for the V6..maybe the headers been discontinued?

I suppose so, but it doesn't make sense as the m112 is the newer and more common engine accross the entire MB lineup.

After posting this, I was thinking that since the headers have to be model specific in order to fit, maybe the manufacturers thought it was not cost effective to produce them for the late w202 with the m112, when most people bought the newer w202 with the m111 Kompressor because the performance defferential was nil and it was less expensive.

with that since i have had no luck on finding a c43 after the one i was going to buy had major issues... my pastor has a c280 that he will just give me at the cost of almost nothing. Can I hook up a c280 like I can a c43 or c230k?

I got a 97' C280 I6 and am completely happy with the performance and look <much thanks to my great mechanic Steve>, of course its not the same as c36 or c43 with the kits and engines but great car none the less if you find a good deal on one of those i'd say go for it if your not as concerned with a faster car, then you can spend the extra money on whatever mods of your choice. But whatever you end up with welcome to the club of benz addicts

dude for free i would take it, then spend HALF the money you'd spend on a new car to make the 280 sick as fuck.

just my opinion.

What cars have you previously owned or driven on a daily basis?

Knowing this will help us determine if a C280 is up your alley.

97 c280 is a nice car... like they have said before, its not a fast car at all, but its not too slow either, with 5k it can also look really nice, and with proper care this car will last forever

How much you have to play with? You could get your car close to 300hp, for a few G's.

Mosselman Turbos (http://www.mosselmanturbo.com/)

It may only be for the I6, but I'd call and ask. Info can be found under the "Specifications" tab.
