key problem

Hello guys,
I am a new member and I have a problem with my flip key,
My car is a 1997 C200K, the red light in the key some times does not work, and of course when it does not work I can’t open the car unless I use the blade key, I also think it is using a lot of batteries, recently am changing them every 2 weeks,
I think some thing is broken inside, is it o=possible to open the flip key and repair it??
Another question , when you open the car with the blade key only the drivers door open and when you start the car all the doors open, but how do you close all the doors?

I had the same problem.
Kept having to replace the batteries in the infra red key.
Using the blade key to lock and unlock.

I got fed up and coughed up i think around $300 for a new key from the dealership.
Haven't had a problem since.
