ok guys, so i broke my key for my car. a 1995 c220. i called in the dealership that the car was purchased at back in 1995. they said that the keyless entry is 225 bucks. first off that is a lot for a keyless entry anyone know how to get it cheaper. but the main thing is. does my car have keyless entry. i just have a regular master key when it was purchased. i bought the car from my dad. but he bought it brand new off the truck back in 1995. what im trying to say is does anyone know if my car is suppose to have keyless entry or not. other 1995 c220 owners let me know. or anyone with a c220 let me know or anyone that knows about my car. please help

Does your rear view mirror have the green adn red lights? Your driver side door should have that and your trunk should have one too.

I have a 1995 C220 sold without an alarm or keyless entry.

In my situation I decided to purchase and self-install a Clifford G5 alarm/keyless entry (under $200).

Working great and very satisfied with the system.

How did the install go?

I heard it was harder to install an aftermarket systems on benz?

Not too bad really. However, I had to do some homework prior to the install.

After I located the info on wire locations and color, purchased a few 12V relays, etc.... the install was fairly straight forward.

my old 94 C220 had a Viper Alarm w/ keyless entry and remote start it cost me about $150, but not having to ptu the key in everytime to open the doors was a major plus.

If you're located in NJ or near here I can hook you up.

If you're really lazy and also want to make your car look kick ass, you can also look into the shaved door kit, which opens the door for you! :P
