C43 exhaust repair??

My resonator just before the muffler has a big crack in it. I guess it costs like $900??? A guy says he will try to weld it up but it will take a few days since the metal is so thin. In the mean time, I plan to put in a straight pipe. Will I have any error codes if I put in a straight pipe?

Actually I suspect that at idle its about the same but under throttle it will be louder.

If you really want to replace the resonator I will give you mine. Just pay for shipping and 10minutes of my time.

I would buy some stainless tubing and have it welded up. Much better idea. Please don't pay $900.00 for a resonator that people throw away. Seriously, let me know if you want it. It's comming off in a few weeks.
