hi i have just installed a avic 900dvdII its working ok shall i say but sometimes it loses me and the cursor on the sacreen ends up a couple of roads away. i need to connect the speed pulse wire (pink) to the speed sensor thing of the car, could somebody please tell me wherebouts it is and how to get that wire to connect to it. thanks :)

depending on the year of your car, the speed sensor is green wire for pre 98 models, and pink or purple(not sure, tho) for post 98 models.

not sure about pre 98', but 98 and up already has one hooked up to the stock head unit so its really easy to get to, its green w/a purple stripe

Not sure what kind of car you have but it is the upper left corner on the bottom wiring harness for a 96 c220 if that makes any sense.

its a c250d uk spec. where is this harness? how easy is it to get to? ta

Its the wiring harness to the radio...The top harness (10-pin)is for the cd changer, the middle(8-pin) is for the speakers, and the bottom harness(8-pin) is for power and accesories(like speed-sensitive volume control, muting by telephone system, permanent power, automatic antenna control, illumination, accessory power, and the ground wire.)(one pin isnt used at all out of the 8). Hope this clears things up.
