he told me the part is the same for front and back.

my car is 98 c200 elegance model and on according to the below list he has given me the wrong part.

For W202 mid 96-99

210 321 05 84 pad#5 21 mm

Rear(W210 part number) :
210 325 01 84 pad#1 5 mm

210 325 03 84 pad#3 13 mm
210 325 04 84 pad#4 17 mm

For W202 94-mid 96
Front(W201 part number) :
201 321 09 84 pad#1 8 mm
201 321 10 84 pad#2 13 mm
201 321 11 84 pad#3 18 mm
210 321 12 84 pad#4 23 mm

Rear(W201 part number) :

Well, I think u have the wrong pads. Since u have a 98 model u will be needing the ones mentioned in the list. Pads cannot be the same (all four) because the springs front & back differ.

Front(W210 part number) :
210 321 01 84 pad#1 5 mm

Rear(W210 part number) :
210 325 01 84 pad#1 5 mm

I have lowered my car today, Eibach Pro-kit. The springs in the back are smaller in diameter than the spring in front. I used #1(210 321 01 84 pad#1 5 mm) for the front and #3 for the back(210 325 03 84 pad#3 13 mm) and they fit ok.

Can you post some pics please, I need to see what your car looks like lowered. thanks.
Also, my cousin owns an R170 SLK 200 and his car runs on stock suspension, its pretty high and he d like to lower it as well. Does it uses the same pads as the 202/210 and which ones do you suggest? Thanks again. He is on 16s.

I will try to make some pictures of my car very soon. Was planning on doing this today but its raining here and it looks like it will be all day...

I have b4 and after pics so it the result should be obvious. I think it still has to settle a bit too.

Also I think u will notice that there's not much difference in the back with the Eibachs installed but the front is much lower. Since u were talking about leaving the rear...

About the SLK pads, I dunno but I can ask for u. I have a contact who works as a MB tecnician but he's not working this week. I'll try to ask him when he's back.

It got dry, went out and washed the car. There's some pics in my "newby car pictures" thread in the Boba lounge.

What dampeners did you use? Stock?
How do you find the ride?

I used my stock shocks. I think they're the factory ones so should be the ones mounted to work with the lowered esprit springs. The ride is firm but still comfortable.
