As i was driving today i was taking a turn around a corner and it must have been sticking out more than usual or something and i made the turn just like any other but when the back right wheel came to that point i hear a harsh grinding noise. at this point one word comes to mind.. F*CK! Right away i knew what had happend. I parked and looked at the rim and it is curbed all around the edge. What makes it worse is that i just bought the rims this MONTH! im always a very careful driver when it comes to this so i have no clue how the this happend. As you can imanige this completely ruined my day and i have not been this mad in a while. They are AMG replica rims that were other wise perfect condition. So im curious as to whether or not this can be repaired for a reasonable cost. Thanks in advance.
buy a new one. it shouldnt cost too much.

post a pic, and do you mean that the rim made contact with the asphalt...or with the fender ???

Im not sure but i think there was a portion of raised cement or something just high enough to cut up the edge of the rim. here are some pis, it is curbed in about 3 sections of the rim.

The scratch in the last pic i tried to buff out with a sander, i only did the right portion of the scratch, what do you think should i do all the others as well?

If you like the result, then sand them as you did thatone. Its easily repairable just so you know.

do you live by the beach?
Also, that kind of curb damage should be pretty easily refinished by a pro (if you can't sand and clear coat it yourself)

i am still extremely puzzled by how ur rims sustained those damages from the curve ???

i might just go to a auto body repair shop and get it fixed, if its easily repairable then i dont want to risk messing up the rim. as far as how it happened, i must have taken the corner too sharp or there was somthing next to the curb but the back rim did not clear the corner and grinded against the concrete.
BTW Renn 208, i dont live by the beach so i dont have to worry about any salt eating at the metal - if thats what you meant by your question.
