Red is going to be your power and black is going to be ur ground. I think that your taking out the existing light for that one, just grab ur testing light and test for lower, red to power, black to gound and ur good to go

Yeah for sure if you have an existing just use the 2 wires that you will disconnect from that one. its standard 12v hookup so red to positive and black to ground. do you have an existing light back there?

i removed the old third brake lamp and it has 2 wires also, one light colored, the other dark colored, so should i connect red to light color and black to dark color?
i dont understand, where exaclty to connect the red wire, assume i remove completely the old brake lamp, now, wher do i connect that red wire to, and also you said the black one to ground (what does that mean). can u be specific as to wher exactly i should connect the red and black wires? also will this damage or burn out my LEDs? can i do this without preofessional help?

the worst would be youd pop a fuse. i cant tell ya which wire is whiche. i can tell you if one is brown in color that is the ground (attach the black to it) if its not just hook red to one black to another and test it by pushin the brake if it doesnt light just switch em....

ok so im gonna open the stock brake light and there is one brown wire and a lighter colored one, so then like u said i should attach black to the brown one and red to the lighter colored one? if i attach them incorrectly this will not damage my LEDs? the red n black wires are positive and negative, or not?

when you take out your stock brake light - it has two wires. thats where you hook it up. but umm you are going to have to hide those wires under the panals.

hey i tried braking with the LED and it responds extremely fast, like if u tap the brakes. would this burn out the LEDs? do LEDs burn out like normal bulbs? do LEDs last longer than standard bulbs?

ya LEDs never burn out. unless you hook them up wrong they get fried. if you hooked them up wrong you would have already found out because they will smoke but I guess you got everything done correctly since they work in the picture!
