Hey guys,

I am looking for one of the C43 or V6 98+ C280 boys out there with some balls to test out a new performance part. It should generate excellent gains both HP and torque at all RPMs. I found a new manfucturer that is looking to make W202 parts but he asked me to find out if the demand is there. If interested PM me personally.

Hey guys,

I'll just let the rabbit out of the hat. The product is a super light weight high performance STOCK DIAMETER performance crankshaft pulley for the C280 and C43 motors. It is made of T-6061 aircraft grade aluminum and is hi-rpm balanced to 10,000rpm. It has all the exact same dimensions in as the stock pulley its just going to weigh about 80-90% lighter. This pulley will NOT underdrive your accessories (unlike most other aftermarket pulleys, which rob your AC, power steering, alternator, oil, coolant of power). This pulley will not affect drivability and comfort of the car one bit. One thing it will do is give you gobs and gobs of torque. Anyways if anyone is interested in testing the pulleys I will have a special "Dyno tester" price availible once the manufacturer gets off his ass and makes them :) . Anyone interested?

Let me talk to my mechanic and see what he thinks. I am interested though.

I would think that the C280 would be different than the C43 and the C43 would be the same as the E55.

nope actually you are wrong, C43 same as C280, E55 is diferent :) 100% sure :) . Close though

install is a peice of cake, just the main crank bolt (you will need a breaker bar to get it off and a torque wrench to put it on). since its stock diameter no need to mess with the belts even. its about as easy as crank pulley installs get.

i'm interested in well. i like the idea of freeing up parasitic loss on the rotating assembly without affecting the alt, p/s, etc.

that was always my biggest gripe with UDP

Yup, I experience them personally on my BMW UDP, and honestly i hated the sacrifices i had to made just to make more power. was not worth it to me. but thats why I am trying to do this so we all can finally have legitimate power from pullies (nobody even makes crankshaft pullies for benzes, and evosports are a ripoff and don't perform even closely to their claims).

Retail price is $349, but special "Dyno Tester" price will be $249 ($100 discount for you mathematically impaired ;) ) , just as long as you provide and accurate before & after dyno (high quality scan of course). Only one dyno tester per generation / model (aka one C280, one C43), all following will be at the $349 price. I am trying to make it as affordable & inexpensive as possible so everybody can afford it. :D

While we can appreciate your efforts, your offer is not really that enticing for people. Figure a set of dyno runs would cost about $150 and you are spending more than the pulley price. I mean there has to be better incentive for a person to use their car as the test car. Your discount is basically the price of a pulley, while you get the benefit of having someone else validate the product.

Might as well wait till someone else does the testing and buy the product at regular price.

The offer stands, I think its plenty enticing enough. if you don't want to thats fine but there are MANY others who are (believe me you should see my inbox lol). You can wait till others test if if you are not comfortable yet. thx

FYI, Mercedes made the crankshaft pulley for that size and weight is to balance the harmonics of the engine through out the rpm. Unless you have concrete evidence that the extra weight in the pulley is dead weight, I would not mess with it.

I been throught this topics with Nissan engineers then Hondas', they all share the same opinions.
