Well, after about 50k miles on my 1999 C43, I have been told that my front rotors are wearing too thin and will need to be replaced. I told them to put a hold on it until I could do some research on a good price for some ATEs.

I would really appreciate it if you all could help me. I think I remember hearing that the Power Slot ATEs (with the elliptical grooves) were a direct plug-and-play replacement. Is there anything true to this? If so, where can I order some?

If not, I will settle for a good price on an OEM replacement. As for you guys, where would you go to order replacement OEM brakes like these?

Thank you in advance!

PS. Gotta get pads too. Any suggestions would help.

From what I gather there is no aftermarket replacement for the C43 front rotors. I'm thinking the OEM rotors are about $240ish each side.

I'm using EBC green pads at the moment. Can't say they are any better or worse than the originals. They don't make any noise which is good.

The previous owner of my car added cross drilled/slotted rotors to all four corners of my 99 C43. I'll find out what brand they are and get some specs. I believe the entire brake upgrade with pads was about $1700.

Acually, you can get teh drilled rotors off an R129 SL silver arrow, they are drilled and a direct replacement for the C43 rear rotors.

I just got them put on today by a fellow member of this board, they are great.

I have C32 rotors and calipers in the front though.
