I'd like to have my muffler tips sit a little up in the bumper, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it, while keeping it looking like a factory finish. I prefer the look better than having the tips sitting just below the bumper. Thanks for your insight.

I notice most people (95%) do not cut the bumper and left the muffler sit right under. it's ugly!! I have a shop that I trust to cust my bumpers. On my W211 E320, I had the notches cut and it looks factory. Had it done on W210 E320 as well.

Would You Mind Posting A Pic Of This? I Have Been Wondering How Tjhis Would Look On A 98 C280 Seeing As They Have "Hidden" Muffler Tips.

Carfully cut mine in with a small angle grinder then finished it with a dowel and sand paper...came out good!.

That looks nice. Do you ever have problems with the tips rattling against the lower bumper at start-up or during acceleration?

It did touch now and then when i was accelerating and turning at the same time but was barely noticeable...then after i installed the turbo we also added a flexi pipe to combat the overall vibration through the exhaust...i dont recall it ever touched after that.
the gap i have is quite small...most pple would go alittle bigger maybe 10-15mm away from the bumper edges to be safer, the bigger the gap the worst is looks imo...

Damn That Looks Good. i Think I'm Gonna Have To Bite That. ( Bite- Copy The Style Of) But I Think I'll Use A Big 4" Single Outlet On Mine. JK. Na I think I'm Going To Go With A Rounded Exhaust Tip. BTW What Kind Of Muffler Is That? Remmus?
