Hey guys,

Just been getting some quotes in Australia for the bilstein sport shocks

front part # B36-1854-H0
rear part # B36-1855-H0

and the lowest I have found was $714 US not including installation for 1 front pair and 1 rear pair.

I see you guys are getting them for around $300 US for 1 front pair and 1 rear pair?

As this will save me around $400-$500 I will be buying them from America most probably.

So if you know of any reputable places in America that sell these and ship worldwide could you please post them up here?

Thanks a lot!

Try http://www.eshocks.com. It says they will email you an international shipping quote.

btw.. I bought my shocks from Eshocks.com too.. shipping was free to the US, no? anyhow.. installed them and cut my sport springs.. and I love it! a freeway onramp I could normally only take at 40mph, was ~50mph after the suspension install!

alright cool still waiting on a response from eshocks but have been quoted $440 US including shipping from shockwarehouse.com which beats the australian prices by $250 US.

And allshocks.com replied saying that "we can not guarantee correct fitment, as the shocks for the North American market are often different from those offered elsewhere."

I am sure they are wrong, as these B36 1854 and B36 1855 bilstein's are universal for all c class' right? The Australian bilstein warehouse sell these exact part numbers so I can only assume that allshocks are wrong.

No difference if its the same part number. Maybe that applies to other makes of cars and its just a general disclaimer.

PS The right part number is the right part number. Don't be mis-led by standard Yankee drivel that attempts to tinplate their arses!

Okay the B36 1854 and B36 1855 arrived from shockwarehouse.com

It took them a couple of weeks before the package was sent but then it only took 4 days to arrive here in Australia after that which is really good.

Hey,

It's all in now!

What is different:

It is a lot lower thanks to the pro kit and #1 pads all round  looks a lot better, the 20" rims will be on within the month and I will post up some pictures!

The ride is stiffer compared to stock and you can feel that it is bouncier over harsh bumps. On a 600km drive to sydney and back through a lot of the city I only noticed it was bouncier twice over some harsh bumps, it's a good ride! can't complain, feels a lot better to drive!

When I throw the car into a turn at a higher speed the front wheels "hop" a little in the turn, but this happened with the stock set up as well, I can't really tell if this got worse or if I am throwing it into corners faster now that I have the new suspension in to test it out haha.

I also thought maybe the squeak in the suspension would have gone when I upgraded the suspension but it was still there. So I WD40'd each spring at the bottom and this stopped the noise on all sides but there is still a slight squeak coming from the front right, I think this has to do with the spring rubbing directly on the metal cup at the bottom?

if it feels like there is wheel hop, check your ball joints, and the steering shock.

Hey Proven, where is this steering shock? And how will I know if the ball joint need to be replaced?
