Did a search, got lots of different wheel/tire/offset combos, but not this one in particular as to whether or not there are any clearance issues without rolling the fender lips.

Anyone have any personal experience with this setup on a lowered (Eibach Prokit ~1.2" drop) w202?

Offset is 2mm inwards more than stock, but the rim width is 26mm wider. So that means the rim will stick out 11mm more than stock, but won't that just mean it's just about even with the tread width of a 225mm (~8.8in) tire?

Seems like it would be ok to me, but I've heard that at least in some cases that rims wider than 8" in the front tend to rub. But, is that only with the incorrect offset/tire size combo? That's what I'd like to know..

you should be A OK. I have 19 * 8.5 up front with a 225/35 and a 38mm offset and rub with a few ppl in the car, but I also am lowered about 2.5"+ :D

Thanks for the info. Is the rub coming from the front or the rear?

probably front when your car is too low. coz in the rear you won't have any problem even if you use 18x9.5.:D

it rubs on a hard turn because the lip of the fender rubs on the tire with extra weight in the car (I am almost tucking tire up front)

due to plus sizing wont the wheel diameter be the same if you are running 18s or 19s....

true...all I am saying is this guy is probably nowhere near as low as mine, so he should be fine.

Thanks for all the confirmations. The wheel is actually about 39mm (1.5") wider than the stock 16 x 7" wheels that were on the car, so with the 37mm offset, that means these wheels will actually stick out close to 18mm more than stock..

But I agree with all the responses. The wheel width will still be slightly narrower than the 225mm tire width, so there should be no probs, as that is a faily common tire width used by forum members on their 202's.
