Hello

Today when i was cleaning my engine, i came across a few wires that looked to come from the alternator then up right by the left exhuast manifolds and into some other electrical stuff at the top front of the engine. Anyways all off the plastic covering (heat sheild) around the wiring has crumbled off and its bare wire touching a very hot part of the engine. The plastic shealth that was wrapped around it looks exactly like what is wrapped around the spark plug wires. Where could i get some more of this stuff or could i use electrical tape?

PS. Its not the acually inner wire that exposed just the outter rubber.

any ideas what could be used to keep it cold?

Nolte, you can go to schuck's or radio shack or something to get some of that expandable/bendable insulation stuff. It's super cheap and they make it in all kinds of colors too. It just gets brittle from all the heat over the years and breaks into pieces.
