The car wont start unless its in neutral. If i try to start normal, nothing happens and doesn't even crank. Only solution is pop in in neutral and then everything is fine. Any ideas?

My GF dad had an older benz that did the same thing. It has to do with a sensor to know if teh car is in park. Im not sure how to go about fixing it, but if you call teh dealer, they will hopefully help you out

possibly a nuetral switch. it's responsible for whether the reverse lights come on, so it may be in the chain of conditions in order for the car to start, and it's not sensing park.

Neutral safety switch:

There is a lot in there about wiring toward the end but it also discusses adjusting the switch fairly close to the top of the thread. Maybe that will help you out. Let us know how you get along.
