Hey, to get a aux power line to the back of the dash where would be the best place to take it from..

I need to do this to correct a fault in my cluster and to provide power to a 5v led strip.

The best way would be to lead a Wire directly from your fuse box in Engine Bay.

Just remove the cover under Stearing Wheel and lead this wire direcly under your Fuse Box ;)

This is how it looks, on the left you can see the Parking Pedal :

tnx dude... would that work out being on the ignition switch, cause the solution Ive found on my own was well really simple.. there was a spare 12v, wire on the radio harness, can you believe that luck!!? and there is absolutely nothing preventing access from the radio area to behind the cluster..

har har .. after blowing up a ballast and getting a new one which came with its own inline fuse, long live the fuse!!.

so its worked out all good..
