Bore, compration ratio, cams, maybe rods, manifold may be different(intake), intercooler, crank may have different stoke. There is probly more, but those are teh biggest thins i think. Oh, and a S/C.

it'd be easier for sure. not to mention that mercedes' magnetically controlled, clutch-driven supercharger is probably the most complicated setup EVER doesn't help.

as a p.s. the intercooler isn't an internal difference ;)

I figured you knew what you were talking about, just wanted to clarify for others who may not be so informed.

1.buy a car that was manufactured to go fast:)
2.give up racing;)

In all honesty making real power from the 202 4 banger is no cheap performance route man...
if you really love the 202 and you cant part with it,slap a thick wall mild steel manifold on with a either a garrett .63 GT28RS(or GT2535 if your feeling wealthy and dont mind giving it all the HKS)...along with a tidy IC and BOV,remake the intake and charge piping...get the ECU work done and run 6-7psi...
its "likely" you will keep up with them after that...

I dont really see the custom header, TC, IC, pipes, being a problem to get/fabricate, just that I know id need to upgrade the fuel and the ECU and I havnt done much homework on that yet. :(

Id sure love to get rid of it but i cant. and its driving me crazy how slooowwwww these things are never getting another w202 unless its ///AMG.

i feel your pain...my 230 with the bigger rims, and the sound sytem, really feels slow now....i need more power...but its not worth it, im just waiting to sell my 202, and get a more sportive sedan with better performance figures

apart from a evo or a subaru, or expensive audi/bmw.. where do you plan to get this more sportive sedan.. i thought our car has moreless the best stats in its class :)

a lovely 192bhp to rear... i think you'll see its quite a hard to act to follow, $/P ratio... with a car of the same functionallity.
not many cars can keep up on the straights..

shizz most cars are a deminingshing dot in my rear view.. from a launch with ASR ON. .. Im sure shes got plenty to give ...:bandit:

has any one ever herd of a full blue-printing process being done on a w202?

my next car will be either e55, audi A (assuming I can afford it), or E36... but I feel comfortable with C230 for a good while yet :)

Carlsson CK23 Engine Tuning - Basis C230K
Our high performance engines are constructed using components
from world renowned manufacturers, and only the most durable
designs are implemented. For example all pistons are forged, all
crankshafts are billet steel, and our state-of-the-art camshafts are
created in chilled cast iron. From individual component to a complete
power plant, reliability and strength is our goal.

Carlsson guarantees each engines’ performance. We use our own engine dynamometer to prove the outputs of engines up to
1,000 hp. After all, we want Carlsson owners to enjoy our engines for many years to come. Putting theory into practice is, we
believe, the most interesting part of the development process. Once the engine has been power tested, we optimise the engine
management with many conflicting parameters in mind. The engine must be flexible yet economical, powerful yet quiet, reliable
yet spirited in delivery. Moreover, ecological considerations demand that the engine is efficient and clean.
Even when the engine is finally installed in a Carlsson chassis, our work is not complete. We ensure by thorough road testing in
each chassis type that there are no idiosynchracies that take the completed car away from the traditional Mercedes-Benz
qualities. In every way, the completed engine must improve upon the traditional excellence of the standard product with no
significant downsides.
