I just saw this on Ebay and wanted to memorialize the information.

As most of you know, our climate control units tend to crap out in several different ways as they get older. My display is starting to go out, for example. This company will rebuild or refurbish your unit.

325 dollars, do they fix the whole cooling and heating system in the car, or just the climate control unit ?

I'm pretty sure that it's just the unit only. You pull it out with the little Mercedes(tm) radio removal tools and put it in a box and ship it out and they fix it and send it back.

Or perhaps you can purchase an entirely refurbished one in return for $325. Or perhaps they give you a deal if you send in a nonworking unit plus some cash. Who knows? Maybe it all depends on your powers of negotiation and persuasion.

I just had mine replaced under warranty. The left digit would fade off every once and a while. Is this a common issue with these units? Does anyone know the actual price of a replacement unit. I'm just curious as to the new cost if referbishment is $325.

I've seen them once and awhile on Ebay for $200 or so. Not often though. I have no idea what the stealership price is.
