HKS Intake

When my cousin gave me his car which is a 97 c280, i was checking through it and when I popped the hood i saw a HKS intake. I heard a lot of bad things about the mushroom intake. What are your thoughts on this intake? Some sites say that it increases hp by 8-15. but i also heard that it barely filters anything.

I dont like those at all, they seem to get dirty very fast and look ugly when they are.

the only thing those are good for is if you have very little space and thats the only thing that fits, other then that, drop a KnN on it. All the HKS is a piece of low dencity foam that does not do much at all

haha it doesnt fit at all with the benz. man i wish i could get a cai to replace it but i have no idea how to custom make one. ive seen some ppl do it on this forum and it looks pretty sexy.

HKS simply does not belong on a mercedes benz at all.. im sorry.. dont ask me why either... thats just the way it has to be..

if you see a pic of an HKS filter on a 230K dont follow by buying the same;)...foam and SS elements are pretty crap.
