Does my car have a BLock heater !!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 96 c220

Its -25 dam car cant handle it

i cant see and plug in ??

block heaters came in diesel's so the answer to your question is NO.

elaborate on your problem a little bit more: long crank, rough idle, etc... so we can try and help you out with your problem!

Well this only really happens in the mornring

this morning

I started my car and went inside to let it run
i come back out and its off

So i try to start it and theirs not engh power to crank

sometimes if i wait a bit and start it and will
but today its like the batt is drained

block heaters are optional equipment.
Your car must not be a local car then. If I were you,
I'd get one installed right now. -25 is pretty cold

OR park it indoor.

it sounds like you're just not pulling any cranking amps cause its too cold out. block heaters help diesels because of the thicker oil and glow plugs, but i dont see that it would really help you in any way.

it might be time to service the originally battery, or even replace it with a higher cold crank amp gel-cell battery like an optima red top.

i was starting to think that also but he said the car was already started and he came back and found it off so i'm wondering if he has sufficient oil pressure. maybe he is running too thick of an oil for the extreme winter temps up north in canada! here in the northeast i run a 0W-40/5W-40 with a new additive made by BG called "MOA". it prevents the oil from thickening. and yes we have seen temps that low with the wind chill here in CT on occasion!

what grade/viscosity is in your car?

You obviously haven't experienced -25 degree weather. You need
to have a block heater in that kind of weather.
How do I know that? I grew up in Edmonton.
I just called home and they said the temp. is -33 right now.
A good battery will help out a lot.

like i dont think it has to do with and oil or anything like that
i think battery

or maybe my alt isnt keeping its charge?

yea, its definetly to cold! i grew up in MN with that kind of weather and my vw would never start!

yeah the winter cold/snow really sucks! last year was a nightmare trying to drive my 202. maybe looking for a beater this year. guess i gotta start searching quick though...she be coming!

i grew up in detroit. below zero weather isin't a stranger to me by any means either :p

Get a block heater. Without it you kill your engine before long. Also it gives you a whole lot more comfort when engine is already warm before you start -> interior gets warmer a LOT faster. You might also consider getting interior heater.

I installed couple weeks ago it (Defa (http://wup.defa.com/en/)) to my C 220. Here every car has heaters, but mine was imported from southern Germany so it didn't have it. Cost 120 €.
