Last night i came home kinda late. All the snow in my area made it very icey. As i was about home my car could not make it over this slight hill so the only thing i could do was leave it there overnight (parked off the road and near a street light) as it was only a 2-3 minute walk home. WELL that was a BAD idea. I was woken and told my car had been hit. Some guy lost control and slid into the rear left side of my car. The left tail light completely smashed and the left side of the bumper hanging off near the wheel. Very hard to look at. fortunately the person left their contact info and there was a witness. (i took pictures and will post them when i can find my camera cable). so im just posting this to help vent a little and see if anyone has some suggestions as to what i should do. I got it towed and is at a body shop waiting for an estimate.

No kidding snow and cars don't mix. I just spent 4 hours and 15 minutes driving home tonight. I left downtown Seattle at 5:30 and I got home at 9:45. What a mess!!!!

Sorry to hear about your car, where did you take it?

hit up seatownautoworks (http://www.seatownautoworks.com) and we'll take care of the repair. you'll be the second forum member besides myself to have their 202 fixed there.

you are lucky they left there info though, my gf just has her car backed into when she was in OK, and they didnt leave anything. My guess though is the witness made sure they left the info or was afraid that the witness will call the cop, get caught for a hit and run, then get screwed big time. How bad does it look and what kind of car hit you, b/c when i has and suv back into my, that was about 5g there, so hopefully it was something small. Srry to hear about it though.

Sucks Devon. Sorry to hear about it.

Man my place was buried under 3-5 inches of snow and ice.

We had about 4 inches here in Pullman, WA last night, which is a relatively small amount compared to past snow storms. It's snowing right now too and it's 14°F. Thank god for studded snow tires.

This pic was after I cleared my car off and drove my girlfriend to work.

And yes, I do park on the side of the road on a hill!

well i finally got the pics on my computer, so here they are. I also got a call from the body shop - everything will cost around $7,000 or more if there is structure damage. I am VERY thankful the person left their info. This was pretty hard for me to look at after the countless hours i have spent keeping it nice.
