Proven Guilty

I've heard through the grape vine that you can modify the bolt pattern by drilling ever so slightly to match wheels from a different car onto a W202.
However, regarding safety issues, and possible vibration issues (if they aren't drilled 100% accurately, I would assume they wouldn't sit on the hub perfectly centered). Has anyone had experience doing this?
My girl has a 350Z with lambo doors, and a nice sound system. It's a pretty sharp looking car.. I'm thinking about putting my extra set of Axis Milanos on her car, and tuning the suspension. However, the bolt pattern was set for a W202 (5x112) and her 350Z is a 5x114.5 if I recall correctly. Is it possible to modify these wheels to work on her car? Anyone familiar if the 350Z is hub centric as well?
Or am I mistaken, and you can only go from 5x114.5 down to 5x112?
