overheat ?? (i'm new with C220) please help

hello, my C220 seems to change temp, when i drive it around the streets (at stop lights it goes to the line up next to 80) but when the green lights hits it goes back down to 80. On the freeway its fine, stays 80-82's. But I'm just a little worried about the temp going up to the line above 80 (is that next line 90 or 100 (?) not sure....)

but for more info it never went over that line above 80....

just trying to ask if you guys know if im overheating...because i don't want to blow no headgasket and spend $$$$$$$$$ for not knowing its overheating...

your fine...that is normal for it to go up as high as that during city stop n' go driving. and yes benz's do like to run hott!

same here....but i have a cooler and my sensors are all in check so i guess its normall

you can do my thermostat and electric thermoswitch mod, search the site for it and you'll never have to worry about fluctuating and high engine temps again.

if i may ask, what are those three buttons to the left of the instrument cluster, mine does not have them, something with the trip computer?

those are the clock adjuster and trip odo reset.

oh so they took out the 2 knobs on the actual clear plastic part on the newer ones,ok

Holy Crap! you're overheating man. Better get that fixed
or your engine is toast.

Change your water pump, thermostat, flush your coolant and everything else related to managing the engine's temperature.
