Well i bought an alternator for my old 300E awhile ago and before they shipped it i decided to sell the car. So then i told them i wanted one for my C220. So i got it about 2 days ago and now its time to install it. This is a 140 amp / 110 amp idle alt. For the sound system.. no dimming to be happening at all now..

Im just wondering if it is as easy as i think it is. Pull on the belt tensioner, pull belt off front of alternator. Unbolt.. bolt on new one, put belt back on.. done...
LOL sounds too simple.
BTW, my dad owns and runs a Mercedes only shop and he is gone for 2 weeks so its all mine.. hahah, i love the vast assortment of MB specialty tools, and a fully stocked snap-on toolbox... its beautiful

Don't forget the wiring. :D In all seriousness though, really, it should be all about what you described. The only factors will be how difficult it is to reach the bolts. Can't imagine on a NA 4cyl RWD car that it will require much effort, even if it's mounted down low.
